Take a plunge into the clear, cold spring fed waters of Wimberley’s famous Blue Hole! With more than 3 miles of nature trails through 150 acres of woods, plus another 3 miles of gravel and paved trails, soccer fields, a playscape, fire pits, outdoor pavilions, picnic areas, and much more to discover, you can spend an entire day enjoying the entire Blue Hole Park.
The swimming hole, once a local secret, was acquired by the city using funds from multiple grants from the State of Texas Parks & Wildlife Department, Hays County plus private fundraising by the Friends of Blue Hole, Still a popular spot with locals (With a Wimberley address locals can swim for only $2 every Wednesday afternoon) Blue Hole has been rated one of the best swimming holes in the state by Texas Monthly’s and Texas Traveler Magazine.
With the addition of the hike and bike trails, playground, soccer fields and multiple other amenties, The Blue Hole Regional Park has become a treasured favorite of both locals and tourists. Don’t miss it on your next trip.
PARK (126 acres) is open year round 8 am – dusk
SWIM AREA (3 acres) is open seasonally for swimming (Memorial Day – Labor Day 10am – 6pm.
Open to Wimberley residents only with ID – Wednesdays 6:30 – 8:30pm
